Notes from Day 79 - Grocery Shopping

Dear Sweetie,

Thank you for going to the grocery store.

What I'm wondering though is, if possible, you can somehow limit your creativity to items that youdecide to purchase. I admire you, I applaud your sense of adventure. I adore that you like to cook, I am full to the brim with joy that you embrace the domestic - no one could ask for a better sweetie.

I hope you don't think I'm rude, it's just this one tiny eensie thing.

See, when you come down saturday morning, and ask for a grocery list, I just assume that the list, is well, The List. We go over it together, make edits, and eventually, off you go.

I certainly don't mind that while there, you find lots of extras - "treats" as you call them. My goodness, of course you should go off list for extras.

But um, ok, that aside.

If the list says Skippy, sweetie? Get the Skippy. Please dont get something new because you think it would be fun to try, or it seems like something I'd like instead.

I know, most "Wives" would be grateful for a husband who shops. I AM grateful. but I also really just want the Skippy, ya know?

Notes from Day 78 - Just a Swingin'

Yes, this is how my porches got set up this gorgeous 70 degree day Saturday...

Everyone sing to the tune of the Pussycat dolls: "Aren't you glad your wife isn't on bed...rest like me...dontcha, dontcha...etc."

Notes from Day 77 - I like to Move It, Move It

speaking of babies moving. I had the WORST baby dream yesterday afternoon (i finally took an afternoon nap when Pam left...)

I dreamed the baby kicked through my ribs and the leg and foot were protruding from my body (under the skin) but the baby didn't have the energy to pull the leg back. so i tried to push the foot back in. The foot got stuck outside and kept flapping. I called for an ambulance but when they came, they took my neighbor instead (she's older and had a heart attack in the dream) so I finally got to the er and the foot had died. They had to amputate it and the baby was going to be born with no foot. It was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, in my dream, I b*tch slapped myself. I was all "hey idiot, this is a dream. you can wake up you know..." and then I did. Doug was not as sympathetic as I would have liked. Anyway, what's my point? Obviously Baby B was kicking in my sleep!

A better, cuter story is that Doug said he woke up Thursday and was watching me sleep (not like Chandlers odd roommate on FRIENDS tho') and that I was holding my belly. He said he put his hand out to see what I was feeling...and he and the baby were awake while I was asleep.....sigh.
