Dear Ellie,

You know how much Auntie loves you right? You know I think you are the most beautiful niece I have under two years old, right? You know I keep your picture on my desk and everyone comes to see you on my computer screen, right? You know that you will always be my favorite niece named Ellie, right?

Then don't be mad sweetie. Today Auntie replaced your picture on my computer screen. You were ousted by Sabrina in the tulip garden. Sorry babes - it is what it is. Tell Mommy to get planting.

Thank you very much for the thoughtful note. I am very happy that I am the most beautiful niece you have under two years old. And I appreciate that you keep my picture on your desk and everyone comes to see me on your computer screen. I DO know that I will always be your favorite niece named Ellie.

I also know that I am by far the youngest in the family and likely will be the most able bodied and strongest when you are old, crippled and feeble.

So when it's time to go get bread and eggs because your retirement home won't allow cholesterol and carbs, I'll have all the energy in the world to call Sabrina in Holland to take you. It'll be my pleasure.

Sorry Auntie - but someday I'll be wiping YOUR ass and we'll see what's what. So you might want to invest in one of those programs with a slideshow.
