Whilst perusing Craigslist tonight, I came across the following ad:
I am a stay-at-home mom who is recovering from major surgery and needs help caring for our 3 year-old son and little dog (a pug).
Mon-Fri 2pm-6pm
Responsibilities Include:
Walking our dog
Playing with our son: fun/interactive/learning activities, no TV
Assisting my son to tidy up the playroom at the end of the day
Participating in playdates at our home or a friend's/neighbor's house
Preparing a light dinner: hot dog, chicken nuggets, Mac-n-Cheese etc, no major cooking necessary
Start Date: Immediately
Um hmm. NO TV.
Translated:
My son needs interactive stimulus but you can shove any old shit in his mouth and call it a day.
